WATER KNOWLEDGE HUB FOR SANITATION

Three of the ministries related to wastewater treatment (i.e., the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism; the Ministry of the Environment; and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries) promoted the 1st Council of Knowledgeable Persons and Experts to develop champion methods for the improvement of wastewater technologies and systems.

This Council is a valuable opportunity to discuss issues beyond each Ministry’s domain of expertise, with the aim to provide the best mixture of wastewater treatment methods and systems.

Similar meetings will be held once a month with the following discussion themes:

1. Sustainable wastewater treatment
2. Planning and practice to determine effective ways to reduce the time of implementation for wastewater treatment facilities
3. Ways to improve wastewater treatment in the future
