Policy solutions for realizing more accessible and technically, financially, and environmentally sound sanitation services in Asia's cities were explored during a two-week ADBI-Toyo University training program in Tokyo that concluded on 3 September. Policy makers and experts discussed Japan's city-wide inclusive sanitation project experiences and measures for optimizing service delivery and performance in rapidly urbanizing developing Asian countries. They also discussed approaches for addressing region-specific implementation challenges and scaling up sanitation project growth.
